2002 Toyota Rav4, vehicle will not shift to 4th gear after replacing solenoid 'D' and ECM.

Question

Had this code on my 2002 RAV4. Have gone through all the "Possible Causes" listed on the code definition page for P0765, including replacing the solenoid 'D' and the ECM but the vehicle will still not shift to 4th gear. Any other possible cause?

You can't just do one of the solenoids especially when dealing with the 4th gear, replace all the solenoids, that or the valve body is somehow plugged up.

P0765 is for the S4 solenoid. if there is no 4th gear either SL1 or SL2 is open or closed when 4th is commanded on.
