P1747 Ford -

Question

I have a 2002 Lincoln Town car, I was told the code for check engine light soon is 1747. The O/D is flashing off. I need to know what may be causing this and what are the solutions to correct the problem. I will definitely take it to a Lincoln Dealer.

P1747 EPC solenoid circuit failure,  short circuit  or output driver

This is for the transmission where the solenoid pack is required to be replaced. which is located in the  transmission valve body what causes this , is  wear due to age, and mileage
