P0172 Toyota - tacoma

Check engine light comes and goes. Reader says P0172. This is a 2000 Tacoma SR5 V6

P0172 Fuel trim too rich bank 2

What type of air cleaner do you you have ? Fuel trim rich are usually mechanical problem that associated with low compression do to a valve problem. in some cases different air cleaner where the fuel pressure regulator is not getting the proper vacuum , at idle the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line , there should vacuum at it, it is possible it just does not have it.
