2007 Suzuki Forenza 2.0L with engine code P0451, I replaced the gas cap, and the fuel light stays on

The code is not specific to a single sensor. It's usually best to do a smoke test and try to locate the leak in the system. Also, the vent control valve (mounted to the canister) and the purge control valve (mounted under the hood) should be tested as possible causes as well. This is sort of a blanket code. The computer is saying I know there is a problem, but I am not sure where.
