I have a 2009 Kia Rondo 2.4L Engine. I had a new engine put in. Before the new engine was installed I had heat. After installing the new engine I have no heat and I am getting code P0128. I have checked the thermostat and it works. I have even switched the thermostat but I am still getting the same code. If the heater is off the temperature gauge will go to the midway point. When the heater is turned on the temperature gauge will go all the way down to cold or the line just above cold. When the gauge is a the line just above cold a get warmer air but still it is not heating up like it should.

you most likely have air in the system, if the thermostat is opening

are you fans turning on?

you will have to run the heater on for 5min or so and drive the car with the heater on for 5 miles or so.

when the heater is turned on it will remove the air from the cooling system.
