P0455 Ford - ranger

Question

I have checked my gas cap, replaced it twice. every vacuum line I can find in the evap system has been replaced if it is rubber. I cannot locate the evap canister...

Where is the emissions evap canister, and purge valce located on a 1998 Ford Ranger 4x4 4.0, auto.?

I believe I located the purge solenoid on the drivers side of the engine comp, between the battery and the mater cylinger.

P0455 Evaporative emission control system leak detected (gross leak)

The location for the evaporative emission control canister, to access it you need to remove the spare tire,One gross leak that should be check is the filler neck, right where the filler hose connects to the fuel tank is where it tends to rip and causes P0455
