P1639 Honda -

Question

My 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid 60k is giving me issues. Battery light comes on 12v, along with check engine light ( code P1639) . Car starts when it wants to, 12v battery doesn't keep charge. Removed battery, took it to Auto Zone. They deemed it working. When i erase the check engine light, battery charges, 10 seconds later light turns on again and charging stops. Also something in the engine turns off when engine light is on. I hear it come on when erased and come off when light turns on. Whats going on??? please advise. Could it be the Integrated Motor Assist IMA PDU BATTERY Computer MOD
