P0300 Dodge -

the chek engine light comes on with this code evry other day and then goes out after a few starts .The truck also has a rough idle and appears to be idleing at like 550-600 rpm,I did chang the plugs and gapped them at .042.what could it be?

P0300 Random misfire

The fuel pressure will need to be check , the specificaton are  58 psi  +/- 2psi., when there is a random misfire and it is at a particular cyclinder the PCM will shut down that particular cylinder injector.Because of the rough idle a mechanical condition will need to be ruled out the engine compression and no restrication in the exhaust system.
