P0008 GMC -

Question

What is the most likely cause of the p0008 code dealing with the camshaft and crankshaft being in out of sink with each other???????? And the parts location
Would this be a factory recall?

P0008 Engine position system performance Bank 1

There is no recall for this code condition there is a TSB bulletin  out for this code condition TSB # PIP3423K some of the common cause are loose timing chain or tension , but the most common cause of this code condition is the reluctor for the crankshaft sensor pressed on the crankshaft that may have moved and if the reluctor has moved you replace the crankshaft.
