What does the code P2138 on a 05 Saturn Ion mean and how to fix it?

I lose power and the car would drive 15-20mph with me pushing the paddle to the floor. Both engine light and service light come on when the power decreases. I can't afford to take it to a shop and they one thing and thats not it. PLEASE help me!? Can you give me an ideal what I'm looking for and a little insight about how to fix it or check it?

There are two sensor on the accelerator pedal that read the position of the pedal, fully pressed or released accelerator pedal. The P2138 code means that the sensor are not reading properly, so the vehicle computer (Powertrain Control Module) doesn't know the position of the pedal.
