2001 Nissan Frontier with engine code P0455, canister control valve been replaced, smoke test-no leak. What else can be done?

Typically on these it is a broken power wire to the vent control valve. It should be hot all the time and the ecm sends the ground. Check the wiring, I believe you will find the broken wire along the frame in the shock area.
