P0401 Mazda -

Question

I have this code on my girlfriends mazda tribute. We have replaced the egr valve and the egr solonoid with no luck. What else could it be?

HI there,

This code is usually a result of a bad DPFE sensor. This has 2 hoses that come off the egr tube to the sensor. If the sensor has water in it then it's no good. Also, check the egr tube for blockage. If it's blocked the DPFE wont see any change and that will cause the code as well.
