What is the most likely cause for the vehicle to shut off with a P0300 code showing?

P0300 code is for multiple misfires. It's possible the truck needs a tune up. If the spark plugs are to worn out it will shut the truck down. This could also be the result of an intake manifold gasket leak or plugged catalytic converter.
