Need to know if the speedometer stops working is this just the speed sensor. 2005 nissan maxima

Hi there,

This is not just a speed sensor. The speedometer works from the wheel speed sensors in the abs system. Signal is sent from the abs control module to the ecm, then to the speedometer. Most common issue would be the instrument cluster itself. If the micro computer is failing then you will lose the speedo.
