P0442 Chevrolet - I am getting no power/acceleration

I have used the code reader: Code P0442. I have a 1998 Chevy Silverado, the check engine light is on, and I am also having power/acceleration problems. Could the EVAP problem also cause lack of power to the engine?

if there is an intake leak it is possible to have power/acceleration problems, check by the engine bay for intake leaks
