FAULTY ECM ( RECALLED) CAN CAUSE A CODE P0430 READ? AND CAN CAUSE CAT BANK 2 DAMAGE?

ENGINE SERVICE SOON LIGHT CAME ON..TOOK ARMADA TO DEALER AND RUN THE CODES...CAME BACK CODE P0430...BANK 2 CAT TO BE REPLACED....THERE IS A RECALL ON ARMADA 2004 FOR THE ECM FAULTY TO BE REPLACED..CAN THIS CAUSE THE CODE READ AND CAT DAMAGED?

The recall is for the "ECM Relay" and not the ECM it self and it's very unlikely that the faulty ECM relay is the caused of the P0430 code.
