here is exactly what happens. Your driving then it feels like it starts to sputter looses all function as in power to control the vehicle it then dies. then when you try to start it again and put on the gas it does the same thing. its like its got an air pocket in the fuel line. I am not sure how that works exactly but that is what it seems like. after letting it sit for an hour you can go again for months at a time before it will do it again.

P0180 Fuel temperature sensor circuit

The fuel temperature sensor is more for the EVAP system . This may have nothing to do with your drivabilty sysmptoms, what you describe is more of a fuel pressure problem.
