Replaced air filter & in-cabin filter 2004 Maxima SL, now SES light is on, P1402.

Question

Could this be from the fact that I replaced the air filter and will the Service Engine Soon(SES) light go off without resetting.

Not likely it was probably a coincidence, I would remove the egr and look at it and if it is dirty clean it with a wire brush and its tubing
