If the scanner says that its the catalyst is it always right

The problem is related to the catalytic converter does not mean its 100% a bad catalytic converter. check to see if there are any exhaust system leaks first, I would also recommend up 91 octane fuel and maybe doing any intake flush before replacing the catalytic converter
