Code has only come on since I had a tune up and mechanic thinks Im a dumb woman for suggesting he replace new spark plugs?

Hi there,

It's not likely due to the new spark plugs. Normally there are a lot of different factors such as fuel additives the companies put in our gas. The O2 sensors can also trip the code as well as possible exhaust leaks.
