GOT DIAGNOSTICS WHEN TRYING TO GET MY NEW STATE STICKER RENEWED. WENT TO A CAR CARE AND GOT 3 CODES. THEY SAID IT LOOKS LIKE CAT CONVERTER... MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RECENTLY CAME ON. I HAVE A 2007 KIA AMANTI, 26,600 MILES. THESE WERE THE CODES:

P0160 - 02 SENSOR - NO ACTIVITY (B2S2)
P2273 - 02S SIGNAL STUCK - RICH (B2S2)
P0159 - 02S SLOW RESPONSE (B2S2)

DON'T DRIVE ALOT, BUT WILL TAKE IT IN THE SHOP WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR (BRAND NEW). IF IT IS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, IS IT COVERED? ALSO, CANNOT FIND WHAT P2273 FOR THIS MAKE IS. MANY THANKS! NANCY

Vehicle: 2007 KIA AMANTI - ENGINE SIZE? I DON'T KNOW. ALL MAKES OF THIS WERE SAME

This mileage it is too soon for the catalytic to fail, In order for the catalytic to work the front 02 sensor needs to be in working order, Irregardless you will need a front 02 sensor besides the rear 02 sensor, In order for the catalytic to work properly, the catalytic convertor  needs to go from rich to lean. This is how it control emission, And beside you cannot just put a catalytic without inspecting the reason for its early failure, With P0160 Kia would require that the front 02 sensor also be replaced,
