I just changed my soleniod yesterday do I still have to drive some miles

Question

I have been have code problem first it was p0401 I did the egr valve cleaned check the wires but still the check engine like still on. Yesterday I can the egr solenoid and the light is still on do I still have to drive some mile for it to register. Help

P0401 Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient

You have to clear the light , and yes you will have to drive it a certain way to meet the drive cycle criteria., This will require a 2 trip drive cycle this means the car has to have a cold start and a drive cycle, twice.
