engine dies and two codes are given. p0700 and p0758.. would either cause engine shutdown?

ok so the engine will randomly die... two codes will show. p0700 and p0758..
will these codes cause the engine shut down? after codes are shown, I restart car and my rpm is limited. would like to figure out issue to make correct repairs.

P0700 Transmission fault detected MIL light requested

P0758 Open or Short in shift solenoid valve B connector

The shift solenoid can stall the engine, where the transmission torque convertor loads the engine and stall. Think of this as a manual transmission and you use the clutch wrong the engine gets loaded and you stall out. The location of the shift solenoid B top of transmission there are two solenoid which is identical the top is solenoid B and the bottom  is solenoid C
