I have a p0440 code and a lot of pressure when I open my fuel cap 1997 Buick century

The P0440 code is not related to the P0302 code. The P0440 is related to the EVAP system, but there are many things that could cause that code. For the P0302 you should start by checking the spark plugs and change the plugs if necessary.
