P0300 NISSAN - if my pathfinder if not hard to start ot running rough what do you think it is

i  have  a 1999  nissan pathfinder with code  p0300 and  it  runs  great  starts  great, if i sit aat  idle  and  run up the  rpms  to 2000 the  lite  starts  to  blink  but  when i  let  my foot  off the  gas  it  stops. i  can  run  between 3 miles   up to  52  miles   before  the  lite  come  back on . i  will  start   the  suv  one  time  and the lite  will be  off  then  next  time  it  will  come on.  what do  you  think it  can  be?

This is typically a bad or failing distributor. Many times they will heat up and begin to misfire at highter rpms/This will cause the check engine light to come on randomly and set the P0300 code.
