P0098 Volkswagen - how to diagnose what exactly is the problem ?

I have Been having a P0098 fault code appear every other week inlet air temperature sensor along with P0420 i have since repaired well I think I have resolved my P0420 fault code with it being a leak near my throttle body but I don't seem to know what or where my air inlet temperature sensor is and how I can go about finding what the actual problem is so can someone advise me of the location as I've heard it is a part of the MAF sensor so if this is true can I just clean the Whole MAF sensor with carb cleaner to solve the issue ???

P0098 IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor circuit high

This is part of the MAF sensor it is possible to clean it. circuit high is also a indication of a disconnection either at the sensor or at the harness.
