I have a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Mainstreet. The Cruise control intermittently will not turn on when I press the on/off button. When it does come on, everything works perfectly. It started doing this at about 70K miles. I brought it to the dealer, but they could not duplicate the problem (because it was in the mode that allowed the on/off switch to work properly). Now it is failing to work properly more than ever, and my extended service plan is expired. The codes that I get when I turn the ignition key on 3 times in a row are p0579 and p0591.

All along I felt it was possibly a corroded connector in a harness that is exposed to the weather. Do you have any input on this? Where can I find the wiring plans or some description of where the connectors that lead from the switch on my steering wheel to the cruise control or computer or whatever? My plan is to clean the contacts of the connectors to see if that solves the problem.

Vehicle: 2011, Dodge, Grand Caravan Mainstreet,
