The Light in the dash which indicates what gear your in has failed for "D" Drive position could this be associated with the reason why the Montero sport is not going in the TCC lock position it drives fine in all gears but failed to go into clutch lock it indicates through trouble code 741 and 740 that the system is stuck off, this indication however is recognized through a voltage drop back to the TCM, I haven't had the chance at looking at the circuit and trying to reduce the time in trouble shooting through your forum.

The speed sensor is an input
Temperature and pressure is an input

I am not sure there are more inputs for an output to the coil

I would love to see the complete circuit for the TCC Solenoid coil including all inputs to the TCM and the correlation of the instrument cluster "D" position light,

Vehicle: 2003 Mitsubishi Montero sport
