P1410 Camry, How do I know which component to replace and can I clean the valve myself?

Engine light has been on for a while. P1410 code. Today suddenly engine began running ROUGH. And engine light began blinking. Also showed several P0300 codes indicating cylinder misfires. Dirty EGR Port? Valve? Sensor? How do I know? How hard is it to clean for an "advanced novice"?

P1410 EGR valve position sensor circuit malfunction

P0300 Random misfire

The EGR valve position sensor just detects the position of the EGR lift. If the EGR is the cause for the misfire you clear the EGR pintle and ensure that its ports are clear and not open. P1410 is usually the EGR position sensor being faulty where the EGR and the lift sensor is replaced. It may not be the cause for the random misire you can be dealing with 2 different condition.
