I had the rear main seal replaced on my 2004 GMC Yukon XL 5.3L. The next day the check engine light appeared. Had the code checked it read a P0322 (Knock sensor). What could have caused that code to appear?

P0332 Knock sensor circuit

This code condition mainly represent the rear knock sensor not being present. You have 2 knock sensor. This code is for the rear. There has been issue about these knock sensor where a TSB has been issued for both sensor where water would enter into the knock sensor area rendering it useless. The solution was to replace the knock sensor and seal the covering from any water intrusion from occurring. In order for this to have been related with the rear engine seal being replaced you should have 2 codes a P0327 which is for the front knock sensor and a P0332 which is for the rear knock sensor. When you do repair for the knock sensor the covering needs to be sealed with silicone to prevent water intrusion TSB#
