P0335 Mitsubishi - How do i test the Crank position sensor on its own? Is the a resistance test to check if the sensor unit is faulty?

This code condition mean you can have a open or a short or a failed crank sensor,A resistance test usually misses the ability to test this sensor since it is a Hall-effect sensor, to test the sensor you will need to do a KOEC (key on engine cranking) test or a frequency test.The timing cover has to also be tested since the harness is molded into the cover.
