P0562 Dodge -

Question

I had a low voltage attempted start after van sitting for a couple weeks. Used booster pack to start it and has been running fine ever since (at least 2 weeks) with engine light on. Had auto parts store read code P0562 on 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. Said he is not allowed to turn it off but after 7 starts and driving more than 2 miles each, it will turn off. Has been much more than that and still on. Will it ever turn off on its own. Hate to disconnect battery and have to reset all the radio settings, etc.

Hi there

The code is for the low voltage. Even though it's been fine it should be tested. This light should go out once the alternator is charging normally. At this point, it seems it's not charging as well as it should.
