I have an 02 Chevy Impala and this code recently came up. What is it?

Your alternator might be bad, check to see what voltage its charging at 13-16volts 

 

Possible causes

- Battery charge

- Faulty Generator

- Generator harness is open or shorted

- Generator circuit poor electrical connection

- Engine Control Module (ECM) controlled generator

- Faulty ECM
