2004 kia spectra ex 2.0l has p0016 code. changed both sensors cam/crankshaft

Question

I have replaced the cam and crankshaft sensors with new ones. erased the codes (2) p0016 and same code but pending. after driving for about 5 minuets the check engine light comes back on, and the codes are the same. also I did replace with new spark plugs, and wires. (not coil??) and replaced the before catallytic 02 sensor. which got rid of the other codes that were on. Now its just this one code driving me crazy. need to pass for california emissions.

Hi there,

In this case you should check the mechanical timing. It's possible the belt has jumped a tooth or two and is causing the code to continue to come up.
