Random misfire means more than 2 cylinder are not contributing, To clear the code you will need to correct the condition that is causing the random misfire, Misfires can come from secondary ignition seeking ground, to fuel injector or even low fuel pressure, Start by inpecting the sparkplug wires which are vital for engine operation and inspect the sparkplug boot for carbon tracking which is a sign of secondary ignition seeking ground. Once the misfire is resolved it will take at least 2 ignition drive cycle with no misfire as a probem to clear, or the use of a scan tool to clear the CK ENG Lt.
