you transmission fluid might be dirty or low. I would replace the fluid first. if the car is shifting hard, I think the transmission might be bad. If you drain the fluid and there are metal pieces inside the transmission will be bad. Its easier to install a used transmission vs rebuilding it.

If new fluid does not help, the clutch pressure switch might need to be replaced.

possible causes:

- Low transmission fluid level
- 3rd Clutch Pressure Switch harness is open or shorted
- 3rd Clutch Pressure Switch circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty 3rd Clutch Pressure Switch
