P1102 Mitsubishi -

Question

The car is an 2003 Galant with V6 and auto transmission. I pulled two codes from the computer; P0734 and P1102. When selecting a gear other than park or neutral the rpm rises and there is no engaging of the gear selected.

P1102 MAF (mass airflow) sensor is in range but lower than expected.

P0734 is better define by manufacturer code 44, This is more of a internal transmission failure dealing with the under drive. Your solution will be to replace the transmission or rebuild.
