I recently had my transaxle cooler break. I replaced it myself. Thought I got the tranny cleaned will and all new fluid. It has been about 2 or 3 months since then. My AT light is on and the code is was in the question. I am wondering if I should just get a new solenoid valve or would a transmission flush work? Of course the filter would be changed as well.

P0771 Shift solenoid E stuck off

Transmission fluid or flush is done at a maintance schedule, having a solenoid stuck off needs to be ruled out such as transmission fluid pressure test and the PCM function to the solenoid needs to be ruled out as the cause, Solenoid E location is on the top of the transmission remove the battery tray and acces the top transmission cover there is the solenoid, if you are careful and clean you may not even have to change transmission fluid just check the level when complete.
