Code P1188 and P1189 and P0340. I did have a code P1622, and I replaced the thermostat. At this time the car was not starting. After replacing the thermostat, I tried starting the car, but it would not start. I am now in the process of finding and checking the fuel relay, because of the code: P1188, and P1189, which I assume means no fuel pressure on those banks. Also when I turn the key to "ON", I can not hear the fuel pump working. I do hear a buzzing sound under the hood, and don't know where that is coming from. Any ideas?

P1188 Fuel trim malfunction (lean )

P1189 Fuel trim malfunction  (lean )

P0340 Camshaft position sensor

If you have a intermittent no start P0340 is the result, due to excessive cranking, If you decide to replace the fuel its location in the back seat RH side. There are 2 possible places that BMW uses .some BMW are in the trunk right hand side, . the other possible place is in the  glove box, you need to remove the cover to access it, Other than that remove the back seat, there is where the fuel pump is at  you can hear it better to determine if its functional. Those buzzing noise is from the relay in the engine compartment areas
