P0621 Buick - battery not charging light came on

Replaced the battery ,battery light still on and still says battery not charging ,wondering of the code p0621 is the problem

Your alternator should be checked to see if it is charging correctly, if that is working fine the wiring need to be checked if there is no short or damage to wiring the PCM may need to be replaced
