this transmission was rebuilt a month ago and these codes still come back and it won't shift past 4rth gear, because i read that it goes to safe mode ... I took it back and watched them take the pan off ... The fluid was still clean ... It was replaced twice because my mechanic took it back to them because he said it wasn't running right and found out they didn't put the clutches in it the first time, so they had to replace the fluid with the recommended, expensive Toyota fluid again ... they said they check it this time for the ohms and pressure test on all solenoids ... they said it seems to point to the TCM or a wiring issue or problem ... my mechanic has been through all the wiring harnesses and it seems no one can pin point the exact issue here ... this also has an engine replacement that was done while the transmission shop did the rebuild it that ... the engine over heated and seized up ... the trans had this solenoid issue before the engine blew at 138,000 miles, so i decided it was worth the money to fix both ... we added a new intake (AFE) to the engine plus all the other issue the mechanic found while doing the engine replacement ... (Used engine with 40,000 miles on it ) the engine has been running fantastic, but, we can't get past this trans issue that seems to come and go ... can anyone guide me in the right direction to get this fixed ! PLEASE ! I'm picked the car up today but the problem was not fixed and the codes will come back i assume ...
P0761 and P2714 (Pressure Control solenoid "D" Performance (shift solenoid Valve SLT)) are both with the solenoid inside the valve body which is either electrical or mechanical problem.
p0761
P2714
Alot of the time its easier and cheaper to replace the bad transmission with a used one vs rebuilding it, because some places rebuilting it will go cheap and not replace parts or mess things up.
By the way has the car ever been in an accident?
