I got the engine code P0017 on my 2008 Chrysler Sebring 2.4L, what to look for next? As well as the code the rpm is limited to 4000, the engine stalls when cold and seems to ping more

The engine code P0017 indicates a problem with the engine timing. You could have a stretched timing chain or a faulty Crankshaft or Camshaft position sensor. Here is a link to the code page for more information.
