Wife told me about a check engine light on her 2005 Dodge Caravan 3.3L. I ran code, then replaced spark plugs & coil, but code remains & will not erase. I switched spark plug wires, which looked good, but code remains. Also, engine starts & runs smoothly at idle and up to 4,100 rpm @ which time it starts to flutter down & up in rpm. Other than that, no discernable problem driving

P0305 Misfire number 5 cylinder

There is a TSB Bulletins that involves replacing the sparkplug wires and if necessary reprograming the PCM (power control module) with a new software, This will have to be from the dealer as they will apply a authorize modification label. The TSB number is 18-018-04 title Engine control / ignition Mil on misfire DTC set
