Check to see if your gas cap is loose or if the seal is starting to crack if so replace it. Reset the light and if it does not come back that was the cause. If the code comes back you can start by checking the engine bay for cracked or broken evap hoses and also by the evap canister located under the car in the back near the gas tank.

Possible causes:

- Missing or loose fuel cap
- Incorrect fuel filler cap used
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap
- EVAP canister or fuel tank leaks
- EVAP system hose leaking
- Fuel tank leaking
