2005 G35 unreliable gas gauge below 1/2 tank

Gas gauge reading fine full to 1/2 tank, then up,down. I have to use the odometer to really know when to fill up

you most likely have an issue with the fuel sender unit and needs to be replaced. It is under the rear seat on the passenger side.
