My check engine came on yesterday, and the car stalled last night and would not restart. Engine turned over, sounded good, just didn't start. Five minutes later, engine starts right up. Got the check engine light diagnosed as P0343. Car is starting fine this morning and not stalling.

Vehicle: 2003 Honda Civic LX (not sure on engine size)

P0343 Camshaft position Sensor "A" circuit high input

This is more than likely a failed CMP, when its high input there is basically a disconnection either at the CMP or the CMP itself, To replace the CMP the timing cover will have to be removed to access it.
