My check engine came on yesterday, and the car stalled last night and would not restart. Engine turned over, sounded good, just didn't start. Five minutes later, engine starts right up. Got the check engine light diagnosed as P0343. Car is starting fine this morning and not stalling.

Vehicle: 2003 Honda Civic LX (not sure on engine size)

HI there,

This code is for the cam position sensor circuit. If it stops sending signal to the computer the engine will stop running. The computer uses the cam and crank sensor to check engine timing. This is also used to fire the spark and fuel injector pulse. Most often the cam sensor is the problem and once replaced the issue is resolved. This can also be a wiring or poor connection issue.
