2003 GMC Safari 4.3 V6 P0016 code; have replaced crank and cam sensors? Possible distributer issue?

P0016 Camshaft sensor circuit malfunction

This can be a distributor issue, P0016 happens when the cam sensor pulse is not detected to the correct position to the crank shaft position sensor. If the istallation is off one tooth advance or retard you will recive this code.
