I have a 2009 Kia optima. I cleaned both battery cables yesterday and when I turned on the engine, the check engine light came on and will not go out. Ran the code and it came back po106 but will not clear. How can just removing the cables cause this to happen and how might I fix this problem?

The P0106 code is for the MAP sensor. Start by checking the sensor connector.

Thank for your input.  Is this something I can replace on my own or do i need to take it to the dealer? I was able to reset it and the check engine light is no longer on. The car is running great just as it always has, even when the light was on the car was still running great.
