P0706 PONTIAC - difficult to fix?

Question

1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I have a RANGE notice in the computer on the dash. How can I fix this sensor if damaged? is this expensive?

This is usually a fairly simple fix. Replacing the switch is not that difficult, it's mounted under the shift linkage on the transmission.
